Digantara raises $50M Series B And Partners With Singapore’s DSTA To Expand Space Surveillance And Missile Tracking Capabilities

India-based space intelligence startup Digantara has raised $50 million in an all-equity Series B round as it expands from space situational awareness (SSA) into space-based missile detection and tracking.

The round included new investors 360 ONE Asset, SBI Investment (Japan), and Ronnie Screwvala, with participation from existing backers Peak XV Partners and Kalaari Capital. The raise brings Digantara’s total funding to $64.5 million.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Digantara initially focused on tracking orbital debris and satellites to protect space assets. It has since expanded into missile tracking and early-warning systems, leveraging its infrared (IR) sensing capabilities, space-based assets, and AI-driven analytics.

The company launched its first space surveillance satellite, SCOT (Space Camera for Object Tracking), aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-12 mission in January. It has also secured contracts with U.S. Space Command and has been selected for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD contract vehicle.

Digantara currently operates across India, Singapore, and the United States, with plans to expand into Europe in 2026.

In parallel with the funding announcement, Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) entered into a partnership with Digantara to co-develop advanced Space Situational Awareness software tools.

Announced at Space Summit 2026, the collaboration will focus on improving satellite tracking accuracy and operational visibility for Singapore’s national space efforts.

Under the agreement, Digantara will integrate its space- and ground-based sensing infrastructure with AI-driven analytics to enhance monitoring of Singapore’s satellites in increasingly congested orbits.

The partnership supports the National Space Agency of Singapore efforts to strengthen space safety, sustainability, and long-term operability.

Digantara operates a 25,000-square-foot satellite manufacturing facility in India capable of producing five satellites simultaneously and plans to scale to 30 satellites with a new facility in Andhra Pradesh.

Over the next two years, the company aims to deploy 15 satellites and expand its electro-optical, lidar, and infrared sensing infrastructure for both SSA and missile defense applications.

The Series B capital will support satellite launches, U.S. expansion, European market entry, and scaled manufacturing in India, as governments globally increase investments in space-based surveillance and early-warning systems.
