Voyager Technologies Acquires Estes Energetics

Voyager Technologies expands into energetic materials with the acquisition of Estes Energetics

Voyager Technologies has acquired Estes Energetics, a U.S. manufacturer of energetics, propulsion materials, and critical chemical compounds used across missile defense and tactical munitions. 

The deal gives Voyager deeper end-to-end control of the energetics supply chain at a time when global materials dependencies and fragile supply routes pose growing risks to defense readiness. 

Leadership framed the acquisition as a strategic move to secure domestic production, strengthen propulsion capabilities from ground to orbit, and ensure scalable, high-quality munitions manufacturing for both current and emerging needs.

Through Estes, Voyager gains surge capacity, improved safety and certification oversight, and integrated vertical control from raw materials to final energetics production, closing a long-standing gap in the U.S. industrial base. 

The combined entity plans to expand production, invest in new capabilities, and support defense, space, and national security customers with predictable, domestically sourced energetics.
