Infinite Orbits acquires UK-based Lúnasa Space , establishing a formal presence in the United Kingdom and enhancing its rendezvous and docking capabilities for in-orbit servicing missions.

The acquisition follows Infinite Orbits’ recent integration of LMO in Luxembourg and further expands its European footprint, with operations now spanning France, Luxembourg, Spain, and the UK. The move aligns with the UK’s growing focus on in-orbit servicing, assembly, manufacturing, and proximity operations technologies.

Lúnasa brings specialized expertise in rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO), docking systems, and mission validation, along with a dedicated payload AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) facility and advanced testing infrastructure. These capabilities will directly support development of Infinite Orbits’ flagship life-extension servicer, Endurance.

By integrating Lúnasa’s technical IP, engineering talent, and facilities, Infinite Orbits aims to strengthen the technical backbone of its servicing fleet while advancing safe and reliable proximity operations technologies. The UK footprint also enables closer collaboration with British industrial partners, research institutions, and institutional stakeholders.

“I’m pleased to welcome Infinite Orbits to the UK space sector,” said Dr Paul Bate, CEO of the UK Space Agency, noting that safe rendezvous and proximity operations are essential to enabling sustainable space activities and unlocking the full potential of life-extension and servicing capabilities.

Infinite Orbits CEO Adel Haddoud emphasized the strategic importance of European collaboration, positioning the acquisition as a step toward reinforcing sovereign expertise and strengthening the continent’s role in the global in-orbit services market.
