U-Space Raises €24 million to Scale Satellite Production and Expand Internationally

French small satellite manufacturer U-Space has closed a €24 million ($27.8M) Series A round to expand its manufacturing capacity and accelerate global growth.

The round was led by Blast Club, the French Armed Forces’ Definvest fund (managed by Bpifrance), and Expansion Aerospace & Defence Ventures, with participation from Primo Capital, Karot Capital, ARIS, and Vertech Finance.

Founded in 2018, U-Space operates the U-Zine facility, an 850 m² cleanroom, designed to support serial satellite production. With this new funding, the company aims to produce one satellite per week by 2027, and ultimately scale to one per day through software-driven process optimization.

The company has already launched three satellites and plans to deliver ten more within a year, while expanding into Asia-Pacific and the Middle East following its recent collaboration with the UAE’s The National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC).

“This new phase marks a strategic turning point, with the scaling up of production and expansion into international markets,” said Alexis Bès de Berc, Investment Manager at Blast.

Fabien Apper, U-Space President and Co-founder, added: “These regions demonstrate remarkable technological dynamism and a strong will to develop their space economies. This funding allows us to contribute to global space ambitions while scaling our industrial capabilities.”

With its combination of manufacturing scalability, sovereign alignment, and growing export strategy, U-Space is positioning itself as one of Europe’s key emerging satellite producers.
