TakeMe2Space, a Hyderabad-based spacetech startup, has raised $5 million in a round led by Chiratae Ventures with participation from Unicorn India Ventures, Artha Venture Fund, and seafund

The funding will support the expansion of its satellite constellation to six spacecraft, enabling approximately 5 kW of in-orbit compute and advancing optical satellite links for inter-satellite communication.

The company aims to scale its real-time AI inferencing capabilities in Low Earth Orbit and accelerate R&D for future megawatt-scale compute satellites.

As part of its growth, TakeMe2Space will expand operations across India, the US, and Australia while strengthening partnerships with ground station providers and AIT (assembly, integration, testing) companies.

TakeMe2Space’s flagship OrbitLab platform allows enterprises, researchers, and startups to upload and run AI models directly on orbiting satellites, charging only for compute time.

By processing data in space rather than downlinking massive datasets, the startup claims it can significantly reduce latency and deliver 5–8X cost savings for industries such as agriculture, mining, logistics, and environmental monitoring.

Founded in 2024 by Ronak Kumar Samantray, TakeMe2Space recently launched MOI-1, its first major orbital satellite and the backbone of OrbitLab.

The company has already demonstrated the ability to upload large AI models, run external code in orbit, downlink encrypted results, and validate radiation-shielding coatings that extend spacecraft life.
