JetZero , the U.S.-based aerospace startup developing the world’s first commercial all-wing (blended-wing-body) aircraft, has raised $175 million in Series B financing.
The round was led by B Capital, with participation from United Airlines Ventures, Northrop Grumman, 3M Ventures, and RTX Ventures, among others. This brings JetZero’s total raised and committed capital to more than $1 billion, including government grants, incentives and commercial partnerships.
The funding will accelerate development of JetZero’s full-size Demonstrator, a prototype designed to deliver at least 30% aerodynamic improvement over traditional tube-and-wing aircraft.
The program remains on track for a first flight in 2027, a critical milestone toward certification and eventual commercial deployment.
CEO and co-founder Tom O'Leary emphasized that the investor group reflects strong industry readiness for a change in aviation efficiency.
The company says its technology not only boosts fuel efficiency, but also supports U.S. leadership in advanced manufacturing and strengthens the aviation supply base.
Lead investor B Capital highlighted JetZero’s potential to redefine commercial aviation as the industry faces rising fuel costs and intensifying pressure to reduce carbon emissions.
JetZero’s Z4 aircraft concept targets up to 50% better fuel efficiency, enabling major progress toward the aviation sector’s 2050 net-zero goals while offering improved passenger comfort and cabin design flexibility.
Co-founded by O’Leary and Mark Page, JetZero is developing its aircraft in coordination with the United States Air Force, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the Federal Aviation Administration, deepening alignment with military, regulatory, and research partners.
