Voyager Technologies Awarded Raytheon Contract to Support SM-3 Interceptor Propulsion

Voyager Technologies has been selected by Raytheon to provide propulsion and DACS technologies for the Standard Missile-3 interceptor program.

Voyager Technologies has been awarded a contract by Raytheon to provide propulsion technologies for the Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) interceptor family.

The company will supply its solid controllable throttleable propulsion technology and divert, attitude and control systems (DACS), which support precision guidance during the interceptor's exo-atmospheric midcourse phase.

The system includes advanced solid propulsion architectures, thrusters, and hot-gas valves that enable rapid steering and orientation under demanding operational conditions.

Voyager says it has been developing the technology for more than a decade and that it has been incorporated into multiple next-generation defense programs.

Matt Magaña, President of Space, Defense & National Security at Voyager Technologies, said the company's propulsion technology is designed to improve precision, reliability, and operational safety while supporting scalable missile defense capabilities.

The technologies provided under the contract will also contribute to Raytheon's development of advanced interceptor systems designed to counter evolving ballistic missile threats.
