The Exploration Company has acquired European Astrotech to strengthen its propulsion and launch operations capabilities and support development of the Nyx spacecraft program.

The Exploration Company has acquired European Astrotech Limited (EAL), a UK-based specialist in spacecraft propulsion services, propellant chemistry, and launch site fueling operations.

The transaction expands The Exploration Company's capabilities in propulsion development and strengthens its presence in the United Kingdom.

Founded in 2007 and headquartered at Westcott Venture Park, EAL provides propulsion and fueling services for institutional, commercial, and scientific space missions.

Its work includes propellant compatibility analysis, fueling campaign execution, launch site operations, and propulsion qualification support across a range of spacecraft programs.

The Exploration Company said EAL will continue to operate as an independent entity following the acquisition, maintaining its existing leadership team, customer contracts, and operational agreements while continuing to serve customers across the broader space industry.

The two companies have an existing relationship through their work on propulsion systems for The Exploration Company's Nyx spacecraft.

As part of the transaction, The Exploration Company and EAL plan to develop additional test infrastructure at EAL's facilities in Westcott to support ongoing propulsion development for the Nyx capsule.
