Satellogic has secured a one-year defense contract worth more than $18 million to provide Earth observation imagery services for an international defense customer.
The agreement rapidly expanded from an initial trial phase to a full operational deployment in less than six months. Under the contract, Satellogic will use its NewSat constellation to deliver persistent monitoring and daily intelligence coverage across multiple strategic regions.
CEO and co-founder Emiliano Kargieman said the deal validates the company’s focus on building a dependable, persistent intelligence capability for defense customers from day one.
Meanwhile, SVP of Global Sales Jeffrey Kerridge highlighted the company’s ability to provide high-cadence monitoring with tasking-to-delivery timelines of under three hours across hundreds of points of interest daily.
The contract reflects the broader shift toward subscription-based geospatial intelligence services as governments increasingly rely on commercial satellite operators for real-time situational awareness, monitoring, and defense analytics.
