PLD Space has raised an additional €108 million, bringing its Series C to €288 million, to scale MIURA 5 production and commercial launch operations.

PLD Space has raised an additional €108 million as an extension of its Series C financing round, bringing the total round to €288 million and the company’s aggregate funding to €488 million.

The new capital will support the industrialization and production of its MIURA 5 launch vehicle, expanded testing and launch infrastructure, and the transition to commercial operations.

Mitsubishi Electric led the new investment, continuing its role as a long-term industrial and strategic partner.

Spanish public investment manager COFIDES also participated, following its investment in the initial Series C.

New investors include Endeavor Catalyst and the Spain Oman Private Equity Fund (SOPEF), managed by MCH Private Equity.

PLD Space said the funding will increase its production and testing capacity as it moves toward commercial MIURA 5 operations and seeks to provide independent launch services from Europe.

Ezequiel Sánchez, Executive President of PLD Space, said the financing strengthens the company’s ability to transition into a global commercial launch provider while maintaining financial and operational discipline. He added that the backing from industrial, public, and financial investors will accelerate MIURA 5 commercialization and production scale-up.
