Neuraspace Raises $18 Million to Expand AI-Enabled Space Traffic Management Platform

Portugal-based Neuraspace has raised $18 million (€15.6 million) in new financing from LINCE CAPITAL, Explorer, Armilar , and funding under Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The company said the capital will support expansion of its commercial and defense capabilities in autonomous space operations, sovereign sensing infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.

The funding will be used to develop Neuraspace's AI platform, increase autonomous mission operations, expand its proprietary optical sensing infrastructure, and further advance NeuraspaceDEF, its dual-use capability for government and defense users.

Founded in 2020, Neuraspace says it now monitors more than 600 satellites for commercial and institutional customers, including Spire Global, GEOSAT, NanoAvionics, Sidus Space, U-Space, and the European Space Agency.

Neuraspace said the investment comes as the space environment becomes more congested and contested, with operators facing collision risks as well as cyberattacks, radio-frequency interference, GNSS spoofing, jamming, and other counterspace threats.

Its platform combines commercial and sovereign sensor data with orbit determination, AI-based risk assessment, and autonomous decision support to help operators respond more quickly to routine events and emerging threats.

CEO Chiara Manfletti said the company's mission has evolved from making space safer to addressing both accidental and intentional risks as a unified operational challenge.

Vasco Pereira Coutinho, CEO of Lince Capital, said Neuraspace has become one of Europe's most promising space technology companies and is well positioned to lead in AI-enabled space domain awareness and space traffic management.
