Mission Control Raises $7.1 Million to Expand Rover Manufacturing

Telemetry Today—

Mission Control Space Services has secured C$10 million in financing to expand its Canadian rover development, spacecraft testing and deep-space mission operations capabilities.

Canadian space technology company Mission Control Space Services has secured CAD $10 million (USD $7.1 million) in new financing to expand its research and development, rover manufacturing and mission operations capabilities.

GreenSky Ventures led the equity investment, joined by new strategic investors, while Scotiabank and its subsidiary Roynat Capital provided senior debt and commercial banking facilities.

The Ottawa-based company plans to use the funding to scale its engineering and operations teams, expand production infrastructure and pursue larger, more complex missions. Its work spans rover technology, autonomous systems and mission operations, supporting future lunar exploration and deep-space missions.

Mission Control has expanded its Ottawa headquarters with additional research and development space, facilities for spacecraft and rover assembly, integration and testing, upgraded clean rooms and a Mission Operations Centre designed for lunar surface and deep-space operations.

It has also opened a rover prototyping and advanced concepts facility in St. Marys, Ontario, focused on rapidly designing, developing and testing next-generation rovers.

CEO Ewan Reid said the financing will support the company's growth plans and help strengthen Canada's sovereign space capabilities as lunar exploration and broader space infrastructure development accelerate.

Roynat Capital Senior Vice President Matt Tedford said the financing is intended to help Mission Control expand its operations and compete for additional opportunities.
